This works very well and very easily. You plug it into the computer, you plug it into the vcr. When you open the program and then turn the vcr on, it works. Very simple and very well done.

I was actually a little skeptical about this product because of the low price. I was willing to spend more for a good product and wasn't necessarily concerned about the cost... so it took a bit of a leap of faith to go with such an inexpensive item.

Rating: - Does what I needed it to do

This product was a really cheap and really good way to convert tapes to DVD. I had some issues figuring out the exact file type and space requirement needed on my laptop, but i got it all figured out. Just FYI, I used MPEG since it's smaller and was easier to burn onto DVD.

I've been looking for a "cheap" way to get some 17 year-old VHS home videos onto DVD's when I saw this on sale. Given the price,and the complete lack of any detailed specifications for the device, I expected the worst, but got something much better.

Rating: - Mainly works with Vista
The Diamond One-Touch video capture software works with no problems with Vista. My computer is a 2.8GHz Pentium D with 1GByte of RAM. I captured 10 minutes of an old Hi-8 camcorder tape using the avi setting. It took 3GB of disk space. No dropping of frames or loss of audio sync.
The Coral VideoStudio 10 SE software does not work with Vista and there is no available patch to make it work. In fact, don't even try to load it on a Vista system as it will make Vista crash every time it tries to display ... Read More
