Rating: - Great specs + cheap price = questionable quality
Great bang for the buck. It it has great specifications for the price. But I think quality might be questionable.

The power supply went bad after one month. The replacement power supply went bad a month later. The noise from the 2nd bad power supply was masking the noise from the bad video card. When the field rep replaced the power supply, we found that the fan on the video card had also gone bad. I would factor in the additional cost of an extended warranty when making price ... Read More

Rating: - Exactly what I expected
When deciding which PC to purchase, I spent about 6 hours doing research. I compared Dell, Sony and HP. This model, in it's current configuration, was the best deal out of them all, although you could probably get it for less now (better deal). I was originally apprehensive about getting a 64 bit processor and Vista (for obvious reasons). I ordered this product about 4 days ago. I have used it a couple of times since then and things seem to have been working fine. On about my sixth try I turned on the computer and nothing appeared on the screen. I turned it off and tried again. The moniter again displayed nothing and went into the standby mode. I called HP and was almost immediatly connected. The bad part is that they had this mostly computer novice do the trouble shooting for them before they would do anything. I'm not one to give 5/5 stars to anything, but this computer is awesome. I added the 24" HP flatscreen monitor, and the graphics are amazing. My old PC was running well with XP, and with all the moaning about Vista, I thought about running XP on the new computer as well. That would have been a big mistake. I'm using 64 bit Vista on the HP, and with 6 MB of RAM, the thing runs beautifully.
